” A dancer dies twice – once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.” – Martha Graham.
Yesterday i.e. March 4, 2020, BigHit uploaded the BTS version m/v for Black Swan. The m/v conveyed the theme of the song. The song is revolves around the fear of stop dancing based on the quote by dancer Marta Graham and the origin of this fear due to too much of attention.
In the whole m/v the members in both individual shots and group shots were either in spot light or on the stage.

In the first verse, Suga stands on the stage and in the spot light. While Suga sings the song, his shadow dances. The Shadow resembles the Suga which we see and the Suga in the spot light is the real Suga. Suga feels like he this is his first death.

Like this, in every verse there is the fear of first death. The fame is forbidding them to be themselves and is forcing them to do what people want and this is proved by the intro and the ending of the song which says:
Do your thang
Do your thang with me now
Do your thang
Do your thang with me now
What’s my thang
What’s my thang tell me now
Tell me now
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
They are asking what to do and asking to do your thing to them.
The members were seen in black and white costumes. The black symbolized negative aspects of fame and the white symbolized the positive ones, none of which can be ignored.

Talking about costumes, ARMY including me went crazy for Jin’s black shirt. And apparently Jimin and Jungkook were wearing some sort of corset.
